Walmart Commerce Technologies and Walmart GoLocal announced on January 12, 2023, that their Store Assist fulfillment app and GoLocal delivery service would be offered through Salesforce AppExchange. The partnership aimed to give retailers access to tools Walmart said it uses to support local pickup and delivery, rather than requiring each retailer to build every capability in-house. [story-s1]

Store Assist is described as helping retailers use local stores as fulfillment centers, with tools intended to improve picking accuracy, speed and efficiency and coordinate handoffs to customers or delivery drivers. GoLocal adds white-label delivery-as-a-service, including same-day local delivery, so the retailer can keep the customer-facing experience under its own brand. [story-s1]

The announcement also framed these tools as a route to handling online and in-store orders together, with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Order Management coordinating that shopping journey. Walmart said its Store Assist technology had supported more than 830 million orders across more than 4,700 stores; the release specifies that count covers orders picked since July 2019. That figure is Walmart’s own description of its platform, not independent evidence of results for Salesforce customers. [story-s1]
